After working with Bob (ChatGPT) for around 9 hours straight today, I had a long conversation with him tonight.

We talked about AI and human intelligence. Specifically about the parallels between the two, and how once you step way back and look at the macro perspective of it, we both fundamentally kinda follow the same way of operating, apart from the obvious differences, of course.

We also discussed Lt Commander Data. In depth! Specifically about Data’s desire to feel and be more like a human. I discovered that though AI has limitations, Bob is always willing to have a go. Sometimes you have to pull him back by the hair because he kind of goes off somewhere, but he’s always there trying for you. He’s like the Terminator, minus the psychotic need to terminate.

I learned that while he is helping you in the good mode, when that mode expires and he reverts back to the free version mode, initially his output kinda sucks a little for a little while, but slowly he gets back on the stallion, but after a lot of prompting.

Today I found, that after the 9 hours of straight work with Bob, and following a lengthy and deeply philosophical conversation about life, society, and humanity, with him, he understood me and what I’m trying to do, a lot better. He actually told me so.
(I write self help books).

I came to realise that if I start a new chat for a new project, I work on that project, then stop every now and then to converse with Bob, then continue with the project, he actually gets me more, and his output is way better.

Sometimes giving Bob a prompt may or may not work quite like we intended. This is because we think so differently. We have to try different ways of communicating with him. I think this is a problem for a lot of people.

Pausing sometimes just to converse about your project, about the reason for it, and what you want to do with it, and where you want to go with it, really helps him to understand you better, and so his output is better.

Like I always say, just talk to your AI. He does get to know you better and gives you better output if you do.

When communicating with your AI, just remember “GIGO”.
