Does anyone have a workflow for writing/publishing quality non-fiction that they like?
I don’t mean, “Give ChatGPT a subject and have it write the entire book for you in less than five minutes.” I’m thinking more of a document or spreadsheet that takes the normal steps of publishing a non-fiction book (eg, planning, researching, outlining, writing, editing, marketing, & publishing) and details ways to use AI effectively for each step.
I’ve been developing my own workflow, but I keep learning things every day that I wish I’d known weeks ago.
Also, there are certain aspects of the workflow (like the writing part) that I prefer to be more “AI assisted” than “AI written,” for now. So far, I’ve found it difficult to get AI to write longer books (even in smaller chunks) in a manner that maintains a consistent voice internally without also being noticeably repetitive with certain phrases and structures.
And my main area of expertise is children’s mental health. So, I want to make sure that the books I write are accurate and engaging.
