I recently joined a group of comic book enthusiasts, looking for some fresh ideas and tips on creating comic books. I was shocked by the large number of people constantly bashing AI art being used to create comic book pages.
As I was reading the comments the word haughty (arrogant, superior, disdainful) literally popped into my head. I was struck by the confidence of so many people claiming they can absolutely tell the difference between AI art and non-AI art and proudly stating they will never buy AI art or comic books in this case.
I can’t help wondering how widespread this perspective is and if this represents a Titanic moment for Humanity. AI, of course, being the iceberg that so many humans willfully choose to ignore!
